In the land of Tsukikage, the veil between the mortal world and the spirit realm is thin, and the nights are alive with whispers. Towering mountains hide ancient oni fortresses, their gates carved with warnings in blood-red kanji. Forests are thick with twisted trees whose roots move of their own accord, and rivers wind like silver snakes, concealing mischievous kappa and other yokai beneath their surfaces.

Villagers live in uneasy harmony with spirits: some bless crops and guard against misfortune, while others demand offerings—or mischief turns deadly. Lantern festivals flicker with spectral light, illuminating kitsune dancing through fog-laden streets, and shadows hide oni seeking revenge for forgotten slights. Magic in Tsukikage is wild, shaped as much by human will as by spirit desire.

Here, adventurers tread a world of duality: honor and deceit, strength and cunning, life and death. Alliances with yokai can bring great power—but breaking oaths can invite ruin. Every hill, shrine, and crumbling temple holds a story, a riddle, or a curse. In Tsukikage, one never walks alone… but never entirely with friends, either.
